If you were still wondering where Google's focus with Allo and the Google Assistant is right now (after english, naturally): Assistant is getting support for its second language, Hindi. Personally I think this is the right way to go for Google, India is a much more important market for them than Europe right now (cause it is still heavily growing). Also I'm quite sure other languages like german will follow pretty soon.

This argument I'm growing so tired of. When sitting in a drive thru in my Leaf I'm overcome with fumes from even the most late model cars. When sitting in traffic I try to make sure my vent is closed but this only helps so much. Studies have shown that air can be five times as bad in your car at rush hours. I charge my car a lot of the time in Columbia, TN while getting dinner and \ or walking down to the river park and it's paths at a solar charger located at a storage facility with 60 kWh of panels on the roof. Other times the electric is hydro or nuclear. Yes depending on where your at. But when in standing traffic, it's better to be behind an electric any day. I know I breath easier.

FYI: Allo is now the top free Android App in the US Play Store. Be remembered thought that this doesn't really tell us much about how successful it will be, this is really only an indicator of initial interest (which is not surprisingly high given all the media interest). Much more important will be to see if Allo is going to be able to retain all that users in the long term (and grow further)

Zuerst war Google+ der aufsteigende Stern, später eine Geisterstadt und nun zählt es zu den "Core Product" in den Google Apps for Works (zukünftig Google Cloud).

Da Google+ nun zu den Core Services des Angebots gehört, enthält es damit gleich eine Garantie für ständige Verfügbarkeit und wird ein grundlegender Service zur Kommunikation innerhalb von Unternehmen.

Leider wird dadurch demnächst die Möglichkeit abgeschalten zurück aufs Alte-Design zu wechseln (gilt für Google Cloud Kunden). Somit bleibt zu hoffen, dass Google die fehlenden Funktionen noch ins neue Design integriert bzw. neue Funktionen hinzufügt.
