Windows Phone is dead.
That was pretty much all-but-confirmed in Microsoft's latest quarterly report. All that remains is for the company and CEO Satya Nadella to file a death certificate. Whether that comes before or after a rumoured Surface Phone, who knows?
With just 1.1% of the smartphone space, Windows Phone is no longer viable for apps developers. It is finished.
